From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The landing gear did not extend and pilot failed to confirm that the landing gear was down before landing. Several mitigating factors were mentioned by the pilot. These factors included looking for other landing traffic, extending downwind for straight in traffic, the aircraft to follow was slow leaving the runway, a lot of talking on the tower frequency during landing, change of landing clearance to touch and go or missed but not a stop and go, two aircraft on final to follow the incident aircraft, the function and location of the landing gear lights, and noise cancelling headsets.
