From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 3, 2006, while preparing for landing the engine encountered power loss. The pilot began an emergency descent. There was another aircraft in the landing pattern and the pilot followed closely. The pilot reported that the other aircraft did a touch and go and he believed he met the prop wash which caused his aircraft to veer to the right on landing. Subsequently the aircraft went off the runway and ground looped onward to the right wing tip. Damage to the aircraft appears to be superficial.
