From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot, with female passenger in front seat, initiated take-off to the north on grass 3000 foot by 50 foot wide runway. The aircraft left ground in approximately 500 feet and initially climbed normally. As aircraft came close to top of tree line it lost lift and started to descend. Pilot made a shallow right turn around two tall pine trees then turned back left towards runway. In steep left bank (approximately 60-90 degrees) aircraft stalled, descended and hit roof of house located adjacent to the end of the runway. Aircraft cartwheeled over house impacting ground and two parked vehicles in front of house. When aircraft came to rest pilot got out of aircraft and pulled female passenger out. Passenger was declared dead by medical personnel upon their arrival.
