From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated he was working ag operations for about 20 minutes on this flight. He made a normal field entry and was established on his spray run. The left torque pedal went completely forward with no response and the aircraft began a slow rotation to the right. Power was reduced and an emergency landing was attempted in the cotton field being sprayed. Just prior to touchdown collective was increased and the ship sat down in the cotton field with minimal damage to the aircraft and no injury to the pilot.
