From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On sept. 3, 2006, a Beech model BE-55 aircraft departed lake havasue, AZ. While enroute to gillispie field (see) the pilot experienced total electrical failure. He attempted to lower the gear with the manual hand crank. All gear indicated down and locked. Upon landing the pilot realized that the nose gear had not extended. Minor damage sustained to nose gear doors and fuselage just forward of nose gear. Both props on both engines were bent. Annual inspection performed on 11/10/2005. The pilot was the only individual on board and was not injured. Investigation of this incident revealed that the front nose wheel extending arm broke as the aircraft landed. An m or d report has been submitted.
