From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On September 4, 2006, N484SC, a PA-31T aircraft, after landing runway 26, Lubbock, Texas, was instructed to taxi to parking. The aircraft taxied to the end of runway 26 and proceeded straight ahead, assuming the end of the runway was still connected by pavement in taxiway charlie. Due to recent construction, that portion of the pavement was removed. The PIC failed to note on his airport diagram that portion of missing pavement, resulting in the landing gear entering the mud and sinking, damaging the left and right propellers. No other damage noted. No injuries were received by the pilot, co-pilot, and five passengers. Marginal weather conditions prevailed for the 14 CFR part 91 IFR flight.
