From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated that he was on a VFR cross country from flagstaff, AZ (flg) to showlow, AZ (sow), he had received a duats weather briefing. Pilot stated that he entered a left base for runway 06 at showlow airport (sow). He stated he used a manufacturers checklist but still failed to extend the landing gear. The pilot's plan was to execute a touch and go landing on runway 06. During the approach a loud horn was heard in the cockpit, but the pilot stated he did not know what was causing it to make noise. The aircraft selected to the ground first hitting the propeller then the lower fuselage. Damage includes but not limited to propeller, flaps, flap assembly and lower engine cowl. No additional causal factors at this time.
