From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Statement of PIC: my wife and I are the registered owners of N58KM, a 1974 Piper PA23 aztec e. last night, January 15, 2007, I was pilot in command of an international flight that terminated at the customs ramp. Afterwards, around dusk, I repositioned the aircraft to the front of its assigned parking at the shade hangars at the reliance aviation ramp. In the process, I inadvertently contacted a non structural pole of the hangar with the starboard fiberglass wingtip causing minor damage to it. After determining that this was a non-reportable incident, I notified reliance aviation and they filed a police report with the Miami dade county police dept. For insurance purposes. This morning, our FAA, IA licensed mechanic inspected the aircraft and estimated the damage to be around. $300.00. The aircraft is being repaired and all work will be entered into the aircraft's logbooks in accordance with FAA regulations.
