From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 02/15/2007, during repositioning flight from kpwm to kcvg, flight crew noticed smoke radiate in the area of the left side tray table in the cabin. Crew then declared an emergency and diverted to kalb. Cvga maintenance traced the problem to a failed gasket in the fuselage exit duct (wing anti-ice) transverse duct assembly. Gasket was replaced followed by an operational leak check of the system. No faults were observed with the environmental and anti-ice system. Aircraft was returned to service without further difficulty.
