From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot PIC privacy data omitted was in the l/h seat of his Luscombe, passenger privacy data omitted was in the r/h seat, and both were at the controls during landing. After touchdown on runway 7R, left of centerline in a 7-10 knot wind, the aircraft departed the runway to left, crossed a field, crossed runway 7L, struck a parked Piper comanche, and then struck a block wall. There was substantial damage to both the Luscombe and the parked comanche. Both pilots walked away from the accident, however, privacy data omitted suffered minor injuries, was hospitalized, and released.
