What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Airman advised the weather was good at inw, no wind, no traffic, straight in landing after a 3 hour VFR flight. After touchdown (wheel landing) and beginning to slow on landing rollout, he reached down to retract the flaps and when he looked back up, the airplane had drifted to the right side of the runway and began a ground loop. The left wing tip hit the ground first, followed by the left horizontal stab and left elevator, causing structural damage to the airplane, no injuries to himself, the only occupant.
