From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot departed bke for the approximate 2 hour flight to cxp. During the approach to cxp, the pilot selected gear down and noticed an unsafe gear condition. The pilot stated the gear hydraulic pressure appeared correct; however, the right main showed unsafe. During an over-fly of cxp, an observer confirmed that the right main landing gear was still in a retracted position. After various unsuccessful attempts to lower the right main landing gear, an emergency was declared. The pilot diverted to rno and performed a gear up, full flaps landing. Subsequent investigation revealed the right main landing gear had lodged in the wheel well preventing gear extension.

As the FAA filed it
