From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot performed a touch and go at fall brook airport. He then proceeded to Oceanside airport. He lowered the gear, observed gear safe light indicators, and attempted to land. As he flared just prior to landing, the main gear touched down. As he lowered the nose he realized was dropping further than normal. As he applied power he felt the prop strike the runway. He did not notice a drop in engine RPM. He lifted off the runway, raised the gear and executed an immediate go-around. He recycled the gear and observed that the gear was locked. The aircraft landed without further incident. There was no damage to the aircraft except for the prop strike (the engine was removed from the aircraft as per the Lycoming AD).
