From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Witnesses stated that the pilot privacy data omitted taxied aircraft N89692 into aircraft N757ZU on 6/6/2007 at approximately 1200 hours while taxiing to fuel his aircraft for a ferry flight to Delaware. N89692 had been previously issued a condition notice for being unairworthy due to extensive corrosion. Damage to aircraft N757ZU was substantial and will require replacement of the right wing leading edge. Examination of the damaged aircraft determined that N89692 made a severe right turn, missing N757ZU'S propeller but striking the right wing. Two FBO mechanics tested the brakes and one mechanic taxied the aircraft and found no discrepancies. The pilot privacy data omitted flew the aircraft out of the district to D74 on June 7, 2007.
