From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that while landing on runway 07 at Roche Harbor with a very slight crosswind that touchdown was normal and on the centerline of the runway. The aircraft began to drift slightly to the right and left rudder was applied to compensate for the drift when he felt a "thunk" and the left rudder pedal locked forward, overcenter and underneath the brake pedal, thereby preventing any use of the left brake. The pilot stated that he executed an intentional ground loop by applying the right brake to prevent from going off the left side of the runway and going down an embankment. The left gear failed and the aircraft sustained damage to the left wing.
