From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On June 18, 2006 at 12:50 the pilot privacy data omitted was acting as pilot in command of N889WT, a single engine Found FBA-2-C1 airplane configured on amphibious floats. This particular FAR 135 flight for hunter air inc. cert. #Z8WA, originated at the sandpoint, Idaho airport (szt) VFR to Spokane, Washington international airport (kgeg). In a telephone interview, the pilot privacy data omitted stated he landed N889WT with the landing gear retracted on runway 21 in Spokane. He added he felt rushed by ATC due to busy jet aircraft landings and departures, and had retracted the landing gear to increase the aircraft's speed to conform with other traffic. He does however take responsibility for the gear up landing and damage was limited to wear on the float's keel wear strip. There were no injuries to either the pilot privacy data omitted or his passenger.
