From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While taxiing for departure, flight attendant reported smoke and heat in the cabin area. Flight crew secured the aircraft and evacuated the passengers on the taxiway. A canadian civil aviation safety inspector investigated the incident and determined that the supplemental air conditioning system motor had failed, threw the drive belt off and was causing some smoke in the cabin. The system was disabled per the minimum equipment list. The aircraft was then returned to service. Also, the FSDO became aware of this incident via the carrier's mis reporting system. The FSDO was never officially notified. The reason block 36 is blank.
