From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Due to a low-fuel indication, the PIC elected to make a precautionary landing on the frontage road, north of interstate I-40, 6 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The landing was made without incident, the NM state police assisted the PIC in obtaining auto fuel from a local truck stop (the aircraft was certified with an STC for auto fuel use), and the pilot made an uneventful takeoff and proceeded to double eagle airport (aeg). The iic followed the aircraft from the landing site to aeg and counseled the PIC on the use of mixture for high altitude operations.
