From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot was on a flight from livermore, CA (lvk) to Johnson Creek apt (3U2). The visibility in the Johnson Creek area was restricted by haze, but still VFR. The pilot circled the airport to lose altitude for landing. The pilot said that he was "high" on the approach and his airspeed was "a little fast." He touched down on runway 17 just beyond mid field. He tried to "ground loop" the aircraft just before he reached the end of the runway to avoid a fence. As the aircraft turned to the left, the right main landing gear collapsed causing damage to the right main landing gear, the right wing tip, right flap and right aileron.
