From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) PIC stated that enroute and traffic pattern were normal. Final approach was approximately 5 knots slow descending on the VASI, due to short runway. Stated aircraft floated more then usual - about 3/4 down runway. Stated that she thought she should go around but felt did not have enough runway. Departed pavement (raised landing gear in accordance with pilot operating handbook) and came to rest in creek about 120 feet from the end of runway. PIC & passenger exited aircraft with no injury.
