From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated that landing/touchdown was normal. On roll-out, pilot added power near twy golf isxn intending to turn off at twy foxtrot. Nose gear collapsed, aircraft skidded on nose veering left of centerline. Initial prop strike found parallel to south edge of twy golf, additional prop strikes consistent with low power setting and roll-out speed observed veering left from centerline. Distance from initial prop strike to resting place of aircraft was about 400 feet (judged from runway edge light spacing). Skid marks from nose gear discernable for last 100 feet of travel. Small amount of hydraulic fluid leaked from nose gear after incident, washed off by ARFF (R101). privacy data omitted Was pilot flying; a student pilot was also aboard.
