From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 31, 2007 N1544K was landing at a private airport (42CN) near Reedley, CA at approximately 1400 PDT. The pilot stated that he was just rolling out of the landing when the airplane ground looped at a fairly slow speed. The pilot reported that the runway at this private airport had undulations in the asphalt that caused the wings to dip and roll. This ground loop caused right wing and landing gear damage as well as fuselage tearing near the landing gear attach point. No injuries and the weather was VFR with no significant wind. The pilot had the airplane removed from the site and trucked to fresno chandler (fch) airport, fresno, CA where a fresno FSDO inspector spotted it in its dismantled condition (on 12-03-07) and inquired with the maintenance technician on site. The accident information was relayed to the NTSB. Our on scene was in a dismantled condition.
