What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot was taking off to the south when the aircraft started drifting to the left. He applied full right rudder and aileron but had insufficient airspeed for rudder control. Left wing tip hit tall sunflowers and pulled aircraft to the left. The wheels hit some soft dirt on the edge of the field and the aircraft cart wheeled. The right wing tips impacted the ground and the aircraft flipped inverted and came to rest, east of the air strip, in a field of sunflowers with the aircraft pointing to the north.
