From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 9/4/2007, N444CF took off from great valley airport (N56) enroute to the Williamson/Sodus airport (ksdc). The pilot privacy data omitted attempted to land on runway 10 at the Williamson/Sodus airport (ksdc) at 1300 hours. During touchdown the aircraft nose pitched upward, whereupon the pilot attempted to make a correction and the aircraft came in contact with the runway. The nose pitched upward again and after a second attempt to correct the flight path, the aircraft landed nose down and struck the propeller on the runway. The aircraft sustained damage on the right inboard leading edge after striking a runway light. The aircraft came to rest in a grass area just off the right side of runway 10. The aircraft was removed from the runway area to a nearby hangar. Further inspection of the aircraft revealed that the nose gear assembly and engine truss assembly were pushed rearward into the firewall causing firewall damage. There was also right inboard leading edge and lower forward fuselage damage. Propeller blades were both damaged.
