From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Enroute IFR from blairsville, GA to Savannah, GA N515KJ, a Beech-90 king air. The pilot privacy data omitted advised he started with 500 lbs fuel in each tank which he stated he felt was sufficient for the flight. On descent into ksav he was cleared for ILS approach to rwy 09. Pilot advised his fuel quantity indicators suddenly started dropping resulting in a low fuel quantity indication and subsequent loss of power to both engines. Pilot advised he declared an emergency with ksav ATCT and asked for nearest airport - GA35 (Cypress Lakes), a grass runway (13/31) 2700' long. Landed at GA35, rwy 31, went off end of runway, continued down small embankment toward swamp. Aircraft skidded left and left engine nacelle struck small tree stump. In the process the left main landing gear collapsed. The pilot privacy data omitted advised he had recently had some maintenance work done on the fuel cells of the aircraft.
