From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The owner/pilot of N43472, an experimental light sport, kit fox iv, stated: "I have had some trouble with the ground handling on this aircraft so I waited until late Sunday evening when there was good weather and no wind in order to practice some more fast taxi and ground handling. I had no intention of flying it. I was practicing getting the tail up and setting it back down during fast taxi runs. I began a run down runway 6 and got the tail up, but once the tail wheel came back down the aircraft started fish-tailing and I lost control. It then went around on me damaging the right main wheel and right wingtip."
