What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) The aircraft was being operated on a CFR part 91 non-revenue flight and struck a herd of deer that crossed the runway upon landing at kjyo. The aircraft struck and killed two deer with the left and right propellers just as the pilot was applying reverse. The flight crew were able to maintain control of the aircraft and taxi back to the airport ramp area without further incident. No injuries were reported of the total of six people onboard the aircraft (two flight crew, four passengers). The aircraft received minor damage that included bent left and right propellers, and possible damage to power sections of the two engines. The pilot also reported seeing and smelling engine oil smoke in the aircraft interior immediately after the deer were struck. The NTSB did not issue this incident an id number.
