What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot stated that he was demonstrating his airplane to another sports pilot. He came in for landing on Lake Berryessa and possibly hit something in the water as he lost control of the airplane. The airplane came to rest upside down. He is sure that the landing gear was in the up position. The pilot had just received his single engine seaplane flight instructor endorsement sixteen days before the accident. There is a question as to the endorsement that he received from the certificated flight instructor.
