From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 12/24/2007 at 1550E, N62SL (Lancair 320) landed on runway 24 at mmu. During roll-out the nose landing gear collapsed. The ARFF responded and the aircraft was flat bedded to the signature hangar. There were no injuries to the pilot, the sole occupant on board. On 12/26/2007 performed onsite inspection and spoke via telephone with the aircraft owner, the pilot privacy data omitted. It appears that the nose gear drag link broke causing the gear to collapse.
