From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After takeoff pilot stated that the gear in transit light remained on continually and that he smelled a "hot gear motor" and pulled the gear circuit breaker. Pilot then completed checklist for gear failure and pilot and passenger were both unable to move the manual gear crank. The pilot declared an emergency with Fort Worth Meacham tower and executed a "gear up landing." On scene investigation verified that the gear could not be manually extended and a post flight inspection of the gear system revealed that the gear motor was jammed preventing extension of the gear.
