From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot departed cps and was performing a post maintenance check flight on subject aircraft to include several practice approaches at blv. While performing a touch and go at blv, pilot noticed aircraft leaned to the right on touch down. He immediately applied full power and executed a normal takeoff. He returned to cps and requested the ATC tower to visually verify the landing gear was extended. The tower reported that the gear appeared to be fully extended. Pilot stated he then performed an emergency gear extension as a precaution and had a positive gear down and locked indication in the cockpit. He then preceeded to land at cps. On touch down the aircraft leaned to the right and as the aircraft slowed, the right gear collapsed. The aircraft skidded to a stop and the pilot exited the aircraft unharmed. Aircraft substained substantial damage to the right wing tip, aileron , flap and propeller.
