From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Ups was aware of the airport runway icy condition (mu reading below .20). They called the tower just before closing @2200 local on Tuesday night jan 29, 2008 (0400Z jan 30, 08) they chose to ignore the risk and dispatched anyway. Pilot in command (PIC) did not speak with dispatch & dispatch did not reach out to the flightcrew. PIC did not use good landing technique. 15KTS too fast, too long, touchdown 500 ft beyond tdz, landed smooth instead of firm. Used autobrakes 2 instead of 4 or max, came out of reverse instead of staying in reverse idle till at taxi speed. Ran off the end of the 8500FT runway at 14KTS.
