From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On February 07, 2008 while enroute from F45 (north county airport) to pmp (pompano airport), the pilot privacy data omitted of N369SR a Robinson R22 mariner, s/n 1017M, heard a cyclic whistling noise. This whistling noise was corresponding with the main rotor rotation. The pilot privacy data omitted found a clear spot on the beach in west Palm beach and performed a precautionary landing. The pilot privacy data omitted visually inspected the helicopter to find that a "do not pull" decal type placard had become partially detached from a main rotor blade. The pilot privacy data omitted resecured the placard and after ensuring that there was nothing else amiss started the engine and performed a hover check. Convinced that there was nothing wrong with the helicopter the pilot privacy data omitted continued to his destination without incident. The return flight to F45 went uneventful. The pilot privacy data omitted has since had the placard replaced. The aircraft had a current annual and 100 hours inspection, no other discrepancies have been noted. This investigation was performed as a desk audit and is considered closed.
