From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) In a statement dated 08/03/2008, the pilot privacy data omitted states: after departing a rendezous landing area at 75 percent transmission torque in level flight he noticed that about 2 inches left pedal was required to mantain the aircraft in trim. During the enroute phase of lfight he states the left vcsc position indicator remained on the FAR left side and the right indicator was neutral to slightly left. During the approach the left vscs indicator remainded on the left and the right indicator went between neutral to half right. The flight was flown entirely in sas mode. During post flight he noticed the left vertical stabilizer moved freely. The mechanic arrived the next morning and found the tub assembly adapter between the LH vscs damper actuator and the control rod assembly sheared. Block 5, NTSB# was logged as an "incident" by NTSB.
