From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot in command stated that he made a normal landing at igm with the gear down and a three green light indication on the panel. The PIC further stated that after the landing touchdown, and during the rollout/deceleration, the nose gear collapsed resulting in minor damage to the aircraft. No injuries to the occupants were reported. Note: airworthiness inspector privacy data omitted inspected this aircraft and noted in his included statement that the cause of this incident was not likely due to a failure of the nose gear rear brace assembly. AD 72-22-01 would not apply in this incident as it applied to the main gear up-lock rollers only. Further investigation of this failure is pending the removal of this failed component.

As the FAA filed it

THE PIC FURTHER STATED THAT AFTER THE LANDING TOUCHDOWN, AND DURING THE ROLLOUT/DECELERATION, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS WERE REPORTED. NOTE: AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ INSPECTED THIS AIRCRAFT AND NOTED IN HIS INCLUDED STATEMENT THAT THE CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT LIKELY DUE TO A FAILURE OF THE NOSE GEAR REAR BRACE ASSEMBLY. AD 72-22-01 WOULD NOT APPLY IN THIS INCIDENT AS IT APPLIED TO THE MAIN GEAR UP-LOCK ROLLERS ONLY. FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF THIS FAILURE IS PENDING THE REMOVAL OF THIS FAILED COMPONENT.
