From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On March 26, 2008, at approximately 12:15 pm central standard time, an air tractor AT-301 aircraft, N4427S, piloted by a commercial pilot, was on final approach about 1 mile south and at approximately 800 feet AGL to Plains, KS airport. The engine stopped running for unknown reasons. The pilot could not make it to the airport and elected to land in a wheat field to the southeast of the airport. A successful landing was accomplished in the wheat field. During the rollout after landing the pilot observed that he would not be able to stop prior to striking an irrigation pivot system that was in his path. The pilot applied the brakes and the aircraft rolled onto its top causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
