From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was making a landing at love field in Chattanooga, TN (cha) on runway 2. Pilot said he put the gear down. Pilot thought he looked at mirror and saw wheels down. Pilot admitted he did not check for a green light indicating wheels down and locked. On approach Chattanooga tower called the aircraft 5 times and told the pilot his gear was not down and to go around. Pilot said he did not hear Chattanooga tower nor did he hear the gear warning horn. Pilot landed gear up. Chattanooga FBO recycled the gear and found the gear motor was not working properly.
