From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot, during landing, made a harder than normal touchdown. The aircraft responded by going to the right. The pilot felt he had blown the right main tire and let the aircraft continue to go to the right, which caused the aircraft to exit the runway and come to a rest in a ditch, approx. 150 yards beyond the point of runway exit. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the nose gear, right wing (last 18-24 inches), and propeller. No injuries to the sole occupant.
