From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Airman was conducting personal currency training and was approximately 1.4 hours into flight on first of three planned stop and go landings. During landing there was a left quartering head wind. As aircraft touched down on left main landing gear aircraft veered immediately to left. Airman pushed hard on right brake and aircraft came back to right. Once aircraft was straight the airman released pressure on the right brake and aircraft immediately veered back to the left. Airman applied right brake again and aircraft corrected back to right. Airman remained on the right brake, and as the aircraft slowed down, it came up on it's nose. After aircraft stopped it came to rest on all three landing gear. Pilot exited and discovered left main tire flat with light damage to left wingtip and left edge of left aileron. Both prop tips were damaged and propeller spinner was scuffed. Further examination of the left wheel showed that the tire showed scuffing of the outer side and the flange of the outer wheel half was broken into several pieces. And the inner wheel half was broken away from the main bearing.
