From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Ground control gave N7050S clearance for taxi. Ground control confirmed that if the a/c were to takeoff, flying south would be the best option to avoid incoming weather. After the second request for taxi clearance the a/c proceeded south on taxi way charlie. Just befor turning east on to echo light precipitation began to fall followed by noticeable hailstones. At this point the PIC requested clearance to return to terminal. After receiving clearance to return to terminal the a/c traveled approximately 100 yards when the wind increased and the a/c began violently rocking. The PIC attempted to turn the a/c in to the wind, the a/c turn approximately 45 degrees, but the rocking continued. The right wing then struck the ground, the PIC pulled the mixture control in order to cut the engine. At this time the a/c was flipped upside down and came to rest on its top in a grassy area about 65 feet on the east side from the center line of taxiway charlie.
