What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) After taking off from a private airfield, the aircraft gradually lost power while performing a left hand climbing turn. As the aircraft began to lose altitude, the lower left hand wing struck a tree and sheared off approximately two feet of the wing tip. As a result of the tree strike, the aircraft yawed and descended (wings level) down and embankment into a wooded area and became lodged between two large trees.
