From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that he was landing on runway 21 Show Low, AZ. He stated that he had the aircraft configured with full flaps, landing gear down, (indicating safe, three green lights). He stated that he was down on the runway and in the landing roll-out when a gust of wind or dust devil caused the aircraft to rise approximately 10 feet in the air. He further stated that during his attempt to recover, a piece of baggage behind his pilot seat slammed into the back of the seat, pushing his seat forward, interfering with his attempt to control the aircraft. He also stated that the aircraft hit hard on the nose gear collapsing it, and causing the propeller to strike the ground, which stopped the engine. There was no fire. The pilot reported that the damage was confined to the nose gear and propeller. One passenger was onboard and the pilot stated that there were no injuries.
