From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft on simulated engine out emergency approach stalled in a banked attitude close to the ground and landed hard on the grass area adjacent to the south side of runway 11. It became airborne again with nose up pitch in a banked attitude headed approximately 30 degrees north of the runway heading and again impacted the runway and then continued across the runway and struck the VASI light and the right main wheel. The aircraft continued up the embankment on the north side of the runway and came to rest in the tall grass. The pilot and two occupants exited the aircraft with no injuries. The aircraft sustained damage to the fuselage, tail, landing gear, and both wings.
