What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) After reloading the hopper and refueling the aircraft, the piot attempted takeoff from a private grass farm strip. The strip had a dip and/or rut approximately halfway down its length. The aircraft became airborne and then settled back to the surface, and the right landing gear contacted the rut. The impact was sufficient enough to tear the right main landing gear from the airplane. There was also damage to the left main gear, the prop, and to the bottom of the firewall.
