From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

One PIC and one female passenger, N28070 was on an angel flight to bring the female passenger to Maine medical center. Over millinocket, ME the PIC smelled a faint odor of smoke, he added outside air in the aircraft and the odor disappeared. PIC engaged the emergency landing gear knob but the nose landing gear light remained off, made some aggresive maneuvers to see if he could assist the nose landing gear but the nose gear light remained on. The PIC did a flyby the tower and ATC indicated to N28070 that the nose gear appeared somewhat down but not locked. The PIC declared an emergency was instructed to land on runway 36 beyond the intersection of 29/11 if he was able, N28070 landed on runway 36 just beyond 29/11. Damage was contained to all three blades of the propeller and some scraping on the bottom portion of the nose cowling. There were no injuries.
