From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft performed three landings and taxied back from runway 9L at B3, entered the avion ramp, went over small bump and the pilot stated that gear felt as if the strut had compressed approximately one inch, continued to taxi and parked aircraft. Exited the aircraft and noted that the gear had failed and was folded backward. The right main landing gear retainer assembly backed out of the trunnion, the bolt was not installed thru the gear retainer assembly to barrel nut on the trunnion. The missing bolt caused the retainer assembly to back out and landing gear to dislodge from the fitting assembly.

As the FAA filed it
