From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While preparing to land following a training flight, pilot attempted to lower landing gear. The nose gear down and locked light did not illuminate. Pilot attempted several times to cycle gear to correct the situation with no change. Pilot then attempted an emergency gear extension with no change. After conferring with ground personnel and dvt tower, which stated nose gear appeared to be down, the pilot then touched down the aircraft in which the nose gear collapsed. Aircraft came to a stop on the runway and both pilots departed the aircraft with no injuries. Aircraft was then moved from the runway to company repair station until inspectors from scottsdale FSDO arrived.
