From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircrafts right main landing gear wheels and brakes were locked up upon landing at Spirit of st. Louis airport, chesterfield, MO. Aircraft skidded to a complete stop and crew and passengers departed aircraft without any injuries. The right main landing gear tires were blown, and the wheel and brake assemblies were ground down about one third their original diameter. There was also some minor damage to the right main landing gear outer door fairing as well as some grinding marks on the bottom of the right main landing gear strut. An inspection of the right main landing gear wheel and brake assemblies by mechanics sent to move the aircraft off the runway revealed they were packed with ice.
