From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Instructor pilot (PIC) states the follwing, "we landed and were going down the runway nice and straight, I told him he did a good job and then he made a hard left turn I said don't do that and when I saw it was still turning left I tried to correct to the right. It was too late for the kind of rudder pedals that are in the back, it was like he had a lot of pressure rudder or it was locked and would not go right. I bent the rudder pedal rod trying". The aircraft suffered substantial damage to the right wing and the right landing gear was torn from the aircraft during the ground loop. The engine suffered a sudden stoppage and received significant damage to one propeller blade.
