From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 02/01/2009 the pilot of N2620C a R-22B departed georgetown (27K), KY and landed Lexington (lex), KY on a taxiway in front of a private hangar adjacent to air 51 and shut down the helicopter. At 23:50 gmt the pilot started the aircraft and went through his preflight/departure checklist and was ready to depart. The pilot stated “when I applied power the helicopter spun rapidly to the left on the ground three revolutions causing the fin and the tail rotor to strike a snow bank.” this impact and spin on the ground caused damage to the tailrotor blades, tailrotor gearbox, landing gear, tailboom and fuselage.
